This is a Steelix keychain made by Takara Tomy and was obtained through blind-boxes sold by Furuta Confections. It’s part of the sixth set of Medal Swing keychains, which was the second to last set to release, likely released sometime in early to mid 2000.
Mine is sealed, not sure if it’s the original packaging from the blind box or not but I decided to leave it unopened for the time being. I got this one for ~$35, but it looks like other Medal Swing series keychains can go closer to $50+. Considering I haven’t seen another listing for one of these anytime recently, I’m not really sure what the average price is. They seem to be somewhat rare.
The golden color of the metal kinda drowns out the color on the front face of the keychain. Some of the other keychains look pretty good, Steelix’s color palette just doesn’t mesh with the metal color all that well.
